Every life skill class offered to girls in shelter homes and villages around the country trains them for the future. We want to equip them to persevere, to endure through life storms, and to make practical and wise decisions. Strength develops over time and we've seen several situations where survivors of sex trafficking have overcome incredible odds.
This week, Freedom Firm social worker in Madhya Pradesh conducted life skill classes for 19 girls in their village. She taught them about their rights and showed them how to make paper flowers. During the craft, our social worker and two volunteers interacted with girls. The real essence of our life skill classes is the invaluable interactions between the social worker and the survivor. These shared experiences help us build rapport and connect with the girls at a deeper level.
We're looking forward to hearing stories of discovery, healing, and successes this year.
