Sarita Thrives in School!

Sarita (rescued March 25, 2025, from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh) had dropped out of school at just 11 years old. She comes from a community that expects women to provide for their families, and prostitution is often seen as normal. In such cases, mothers and daughters are forced into the same cycle to support their households.

After her rescue last March, Sarita was placed in a shelter home in Ratlam. She entered a new chapter when we helped enroll her in an English-medium school. Despite having previously studied in a Hindi-medium school, Sarita demonstrates great determination and has worked hard to adjust to the new language. Sarita's efforts have paid off: she performs well in school and earns good grades.

We are thrilled to share that Sarita was promoted from eighth to ninth grade! What a beautiful milestone in her journey. She is growing, learning, and slowly building a bright future for herself. We rejoice in Sarita's progress and are hopeful for all that lies ahead of her.
