Koena's New Home Brings Hope!

On January 5, social worker Lalita visited Koena (rescued in January 2023 from Nagpur) in her new one-room home. Koena shared that her family moved due to the criminal activity in their neighborhood. Her husband was involved in gambling and fights, which created an unhealthy and stressful home environment. But after moving into their new home, Koena's husband started working regularly and being more attentive to Koena and their baby.

Due to the family's move, Koena's mother is no longer able to watch their baby while Koena works, so Koena is looking for work that she can do from home while she remains a stay-at-home mother.

It was heartwarming to hear how Koena's change in environment is bringing positive transformation for her whole family. We are relieved to hear how Koena's husband is making better decisions and taking care of Koena and their baby.
