Our team in Nagpur rescued Kavi and Suchi from a brothel in Wani, Yavatmal district in Maharashtra on November 20th. The young girls couldn’t stop crying. They were terrified.
We are happy they are safe now and the brothel keeper, Padma was arrested. One of Padma's relatives applied for her to be released on bail, but thankfully, the judge rejected the bail application. Instead, he send Padma to jail to await her trial. She will be tried for trafficking in minors and forcing minors into prostitution. Let justice roll down.
