Justice Update for 15-year-old Khushi

Last month, we rescued 15-year-old Khushi and four women from a spa in Agra. The 38-year-old male spa owner escaped. The police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against him. A few days later, while he was still absconding, his lawyer filed a FIR quashing petition in the Allahabad High Court. This case was heard last week. Our legal counsel and the accused's lawyers battled it out in front of the judge. After hearing both arguments, the judge dismissed the FIR quashing petition.

We are excited about this legal victory and hope the police will soon arrest the absconding spa owner so that he will face charges for sexually exploiting a child and the women at his spa. This is a very serious offense in India and carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
