Jemini Can Finally Go Home
On July 11, 2025, 17-year-old Jemini was rescued from Pune, Maharashtra after being trafficked from Bangladesh. Her relative sold her into prostitution in Pune’s red-light area, Budhwar Peth. When the police and our team found her, Jemini was stuffed into the loft of a bathroom in a brothel.
Today, one year later, Jemini finally received a repatriation order. She will soon return to Bangladesh and to her home with her husband and baby boy.
We cannot imagine the pain and suffering Jemini has endured. We are hopeful that Jemini can return home and continue her healing journey. Our team will continue remain in contact with her via phone call to ensure her safety and well-being.
