In October 2025, we received intel about a minor victim being trafficked to Agra, Uttar Pradesh. For over two months, we were unable to locate the victim. In November, we received intel about a spa in Agra that was sexually exploiting minor victims. Our team left for Agra to verify the lead. Â
The spa was located in the center of a busy street surrounded by local general stores. After verifying the location, the team met with the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) to ask him to initiate a raid. The ACP connected us with another police officer.Â
On December 18, the police officer assigned the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit to lead the rescue operation and instructed our team to assemble at the police station. We faced some hurdles on the field so the rescue operation was postponed to later in the day.

At 5:00 p.m., the police and our team raided the spa. The spa was dark, as the staff had turned off all the lights. The police turned the lights on, and we found men and women hiding within the spa. There were two large rooms near the reception area. Another room was divided into seven smaller rooms using plywood partitions. After a quick search, we found the victim, 15-year-old Khushi. The police rescued Khushi and four women, Maithili, Titli, Bina, and Sanika, who were also sexually exploited.Â
At the spa, the police arrested one woman and four men, and then we accompanied the survivors and the accused to a police station in Agra. Our social worker supported the victims and prepared them for their statements. The police completed filing the First Information Report at 6:30 p.m. after much back and forth between the police and our team.
The survivors were presented at a court in Agra, where their statements were recorded. The survivors completed their medical on December 19. 15-year-old Khushi was placed in a shelter home, and Maithili, Titli, Bina, and Sanika returned to their respective homes.Â
