Urvasi Thrives at Work

Urvasi earlier this year with her certificate for her Beauty Culture and Hair Dressing diploma course

On October 8, social worker Lalita called Urvasi (rescued on 14th August 2023 from Nagpur, Maharashtra) on the phone to check on her.

Urvasi shared that she has completed courses in nail art and beautician skills, and has also learned mehendi (henna) art. She currently works at a beauty parlor where she receives client orders for around ₹1,000 each (~$10).

We are so delighted to see Urvasi using her skills to earn an income. We hope she continues to grow in her profession, build her independence, and build a bright future for herself.
