Sneha Dares to Dream

For the last few months, Sneha (rescued in December 2023 from Agra) has been attending an advanced beautician course.

In February, Sneha tragically lost her 10-month-old son. When we visited her a few weeks later to see how she was doing, we also told her about a Dream Workshop that was sponsored by a donor who wanted to "encourage survivors to make their dreams come true." Since Sneha had just been through a heartbreaking loss, we were unsure if she was ready to travel about 1000 km (~621 miles) for a workshop. But we wanted her to know about the opportunity in case she was interested.

To our delight, Sneha said she wanted to attend the workshop; she wanted to make her dream of running a beauty parlor come true.

In March, Sneha attended the Dream Workshop, and a few weeks later, she enrolled in a six-month beautician training program in Agra. Sneha called us today to let us know that she had a new job! She had just finished a bridal makeup session and was receiving bookings for other customers.

We are so proud of Sneha for chasing after her dreams, and we look forward to the day when she opens her own beauty parlor.
