When Parsa was rescued on May 25th, the police arrested 50-year-old brothel keeper Rakhi. Rakhi filed for bail twice in the Judicial Magistrate of First Class Court. The first application was rejected, and our legal advocate continued to oppose Rakhi's second bail application. Today we are happy to announce that the judge rejected the bail application! We hope this case will go to trial so Parsa and other survivors receive justice. If Rakhi is fined and imprisoned, it will warn other brothel keepers and traffickers that they will be caught, fined and punished.
