Rina*, a 15 -16-year-old girl, was rescued in a raid conducted by Freedom Firm and local police in Nagpur’s red-light area on Wednesday. Two brothel keepers were also arrested.
The red light area in Nagpur was closed in January following the rescue of one minor girl by the Freedom Firm team. Now, 11 months later, it is slowly beginning to re-open in spite of police officials patrolling the area.
Rina is now in a shelter home where she will begin her journey to restoration.
