Hema Meets with a Counsellor

As promised, in August 2025, social worker Bharti took a counsellor to meet Hema at her home. During our last visit with Hema, we were concerned to learn that while estranged from her husband, Hema had visited her trafficker ex-boyfriend in jail. In just a few weeks, this mother-to-be is due to deliver her baby. Hema was open with the counsellor; she shared her thoughts and feelings about her estranged husband. Hema's father returned home from work and the counsellor spent some time speaking to him as well. We are hoping Hema will continue to be open during counseling and it will have a positive impact on her life.
