The 18th of May marked the end of the food drive. We are thrilled that we could serve over 1000 plates of highly nutritious food. For many it was the only meal of the day. We are grateful for the incredibly hard-working cooks and servers. Today’s menu was rice, lentils and sukto; a mixed vegetable curry, a favorite with Bengalis.
Once they were done with their meal they had a treat in store, a delicious cold and sweet rabdi (a traditional Indian sweet of thickened sweetened milk with layers of cream )to beat the heat.
