Laina* was trafficked from Nepal and was rescued on the October 1st, 2009 in Pune. Since her rescue, she had been a resident at a government home for rescued girls in Pune. Laina is
the mother of a young child back home in Nepal and was separated from her child when she was trafficked. Ever since her rescue, it has been her desire to go back home and be with
her child. Numerous attempts were made by Freedom Firm to expedite her trial so she could return home. Despite all the hardships, Laina testified in October 2011 and was finally
able to return home.
