An Evening with Sneha and her Beloved

Sneha was rescued and re-rescued from prostitution. She was just 13 years old the first time we rescued her and 17 years old when we rescued her in December 2023. Sneha's grandmother sold her into prostitution; it took years to help this sweet and innocent girl understand that her grandmother was actually the villain in her life and not the doting grandmother she thought she was. It was only when her grandmother showed interest in exploiting Sneha's younger sister that Sneha agreed to testify against her grandmother in court. Despite threats from her grandmother, Sneha faithfully attended court each time she was summoned and bravely testified against her accusers, including her grandmother.

A few days ago, we visited Sneha and her husband. It was delightful to witness the couple's love for each other. Despite what she has endured, Sneha's boldness, courage, and happiness were evident. The evening was filled with Sneha telling stories of her recent adventures and the sound of her carefree and musical laughter.
