In a shelter home in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, 26 girls received a pen and piece of paper before forming pairs of two. As both girls stood facing the same direction, the girl behind placed her paper on the back of her partner. As she drew a design on her partner’s back, the girl in front tried to draw whatever was being drawn on her back. The girls had fun drawing and could not stop laughing as they saw each other's drawings! Our social worker used the game to help explain different forms of communication: verbal, nonverbal and written. The girls recognized the importance of clear, verbal communication!
