Baby Rescued Along With Mother

Brothel keepers usually force girls to have abortions when they get pregnant, but sometimes a baby survives.

We’re celebrating the rescue of Rekha* and Uma* suspected minors who were found in the red-light area in Wani on the 19th of June. Rekha’s eight-month-old baby was rescued that day too! Rekha, her baby, and Uma are safe now in a shelter home.

Counselors will meet the girls to help them start their journey of restoration. We celebrate that this child will not grow up in a brothel. We celebrate that the two girls will have a chance to live in freedom.
