12-year-old Kara rescued from a brothel in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh
On May 11th, 2023 we learned about a minor being exploited at a village in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.
Evidence in hand, we met the Superintendent of Police in Neemuch and asked him to initiate a raid to rescue the child. After examining the evidence, he assigned the case to the Deputy Superintendent of Police and ordered him to create a special task force for the rescue operation.
In the meantime, we learned more about the trafficked girl, Kara—she was afraid and did not want to take any customers.
After confirming the location of the victim, the special task force and our team proceeded to the victim’s location. At 2:30 p.m. on May 12th, the police and our team raided the brothel and the minor was rescued. The police arrested the brothel keeper and filed a First Information Report at the police station.
After Kara's details were registered at the police station, we accompanied her to a local hospital for her medical checkup and then to a temporary shelter where she was placed for a few days.
