Interview with Survivor Karishma (rescued 2006) Vijapur, Maharashtra

Q: How is COVID-19 affecting you?

A: I live with my younger sister, a friend Geeta who is without work due to lockdown and my two small children in Vijapur. It's been difficult to get medicine for my Hepatitis B infection because of the lockdown. We are not allowed to leave our homes. The police are very very strict, beating people if they go out. They are confiscating hundreds of motorcycles from people who try to go on the roads.

Q: What are your concerns for the future?

A: The ration items provided by FF have given us some relief. Milk was provided for children for some time by local administration but it has stopped since. I am worried about getting the medicine I need.
