Chayya* was rescued in a raid in Pune on Saturday by the Freedom Firm team and police authorities.
A new rule has been established for trafficking cases to verify the age of the rescued girl before filing an F.I.R (First Information Report). An F.I.R will be filed only if a girl is found to be minor (below 18).
Medical authorities will release Chayya’s medical verification test this evening to Freedom Firm’s interventions team. Depending on the information, Freedom Firm may file an F.I.R.
Pray that justice will be done to Chayya and that she will experience freedom in the days to come.
