Five Girls Rescued!

In a raid conducted in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh on Friday, five girls were rescued and one brothel keeper arrested. Even though the police were cooperative, the first raid attempt resulted in a tip-off.

Freedom Firm’s intervention team approached the police a second time to conduct a raid, and the raid was conducted late on Friday. The girls hail from the Banchhara community that lives off of the earnings of their daughters who they force into prostitution.

 A 13-year old girl was among the five girls rescued on Friday. The girls are now safe at a shelter home in a nearby district where they will be assisted to take future steps for their lives.
